However, don’t think for a second that just because this site doesn’t get updated or that you haven’t seen us play for a while that we’ve thrown in the rock towel.  We’re still out here layin’ down the rock you know you can’t do without – heck, we can’t do without it either.  How many other ‘local/regional’ bands do you know that have been tearin’ peoples’ heads off for the better part of the last 17+ years?!?!  Not many,we’ll say.

So with that being said, thanks for your continued support of Spatterdash.  If you know us or have seen us out a few times, it should go without saying that we don’t take ourselves too seriously.  Our mantra is basically, as long as you are having a good time, we’re having a blast!  It’s ALL about the good times.

But as non-serious as we may appear, there is one thing that we’re very serious about and that is our sincere appreciation for you, the fans (yes, we do have a few) …and you KNOW who you are.  It’s like a fomula for us:

Good people + Good music + Good drink = Good Times …and our fans are 100% responsible for that.

So, from the bottom or our hearts (or bottom of our bottoms), we thank you!  So in the spirit of good times and making sure you’re a part of it, here is the schedule we have so far for the rest of the 2009 ’season’.  Check back as more shows are sure to be added:

Can you believe that Kelly’s Irish Pub & Eatery has pulled this off for the 5th year in a row?!?!  Can you believe that Kelly’s asked us to be a part of it for everyone of those 5 years including this one?!?!?  Just like Jaeger, it blows our heads off, too! 

So here it is again – your chance to be a part of history.  Kelly’s celebrates St. Patrick’s Day for the 5th consecutive year and are out to make this one bigger and better than the last.   They will mark this momentous Irish holiday w/live entertainment in the largetst heated tent ever, 1 ton of corned beef & cabbage, 100+ kegs of green beer, and Guinness all day – all night!

Plenty of extra parking in the back. Come out and kiss the authentic Blarney Stone. Catch all the games with additional TV’s in our tents. If you’ve never been to Kelly’s on St. Patrick’s Day, this is your chance to be a part of the event everyone will be talking about…until next year!

Go ahead, try and ignore the BIG 3. Thanksgiving, Christmas (yeah, that’s right, we say that here), and New Year’s. It’s like trying to ignore a dark stain on a white shirt, a type-o on a billboard, a fresh load in a baby’s diaper, an ‘inconvenient’ wet spot on someone’s pants, a fart in church…you just can’t do it!!! But here at Spatterdashonline.com, we can help.

Just take a look at our holiday schedule below and show up to a gig. THAT’S IT!!! Your cares will melt away instantaneously. Good ‘ol fashioned cheer does that…when washed down with some mighty powerful rock ‘n roll! Hey, it ain’t fancy but it’s the cure for what ails ‘ya…and is the best stress relief available without a prescription…or awkwardness the next morning.

Also, did you know that most people really DON’T change that much after high school? Sure they get fatter and balder (girls, too) but no ‘attitude adjustments’ or personalty transplants are performed no matter how sorely they appear to be needed. This we also know and cannot apologize for.

Second to lastly, did you know that there has been no outpouring of support (comparatively speaking) from Hollywood types during or after the ‘Midwest Katrina’. Come on, Tinsel Town!!!! Where’s the celebrity-packed, primetime telethon?!?!?! Where are people like Faith Hill and Aaron Neville to sing for Iowans?!?!! Where’s Jim Carrey and Chris Tucker?!?!?! Mike Meyers and Kanye West now?!?!?! Why can’t we get Kanye to say something like, “President Bush doesn’t care about corn people!” Now THAT would bring in the support! No such thing as bad publicity, right? This we are also aware of but cannot apologize for.

And legitimately lastly, Spatterdash is in the middle of a ’skinny’ summer. Lots of stuff to plan for, plan with, and plan around. We still have gigs upcoming/in the works/on deck so be sure to check out our MySpace Page and stay tuned in as to all that is current w/us. This was are in full awareness of and apologize to those of you asking why we aren’t out there a little more. Life just gets in the way sometimes.
