…NO, not us!

 

How ya’ll doin’?  We have had some great times recently at

some newer clubs.  Had a great gig in Bettendorf @ Uptown

Neighborhood Bar & Grill.  Great stage, great crowd, great

bar staff, and just a great night all around.  We were up

north last weekend in Cedar Rapids at a new place

called Volume!   What a blast!!!  People were piling into

that place after the Hawkeye loss (uhg!) and still ready

to party their hinies off!  Had a great time there and

hope to be back up soon.  Definitely worth the road trip

if you get the itch.  That would be the itch that DOESN’T

require an antibiotic. 

 

So now we’re knee deep into the ‘Mean Season’.  Oh don’t

get me wrong.  This time of the year is wonderful for

getting together with family and friends in the spirit of the

season.  I am completely down with that.  Family and

friends are the cornerstones of our lives.  Without them,

our lives would be drastically different.  Some good, some

not-so-much.  I don’t think I need to mention any names

here. 

 

However, from Halloween until sometime after Valentine’s

Day is what I’m referring to as the ‘Mean Season’.  Mean to

your wallets, mean to YOUR time/personal schedules, and

most importantly mean to your waste lines.  I mean, my

God, could you have one more plate of cookies shoved in

front of your pie hole?!?!?!…and be expected to turn ‘em

down???  "How ’bout another helping of turkey, dear?"

…sure, one more helping and I’m going to crap feathers!

 

Pie, cake, beer, mashed potatoes, chips, dip, beer,

casseroles, cheese, nuts, beer, candy, anything

deep fried, and.did I mention beer?!?!?  How else-really-

do people expect us to cope with a 34" inseam and a

48" inch belt?!?! 

 

Anyway, all joshing aside, we hope the upcoming holidays

find all of you able to enjoy all that this time of year brings -

sharing good times with family and friends…all in the

comfort of elastic waste pants. 

 

Also, find some time to spend taking in a Spatterdash

show or two…we may even let you rub our bellies!
